High school students and their family members know that SAT stands for more than Saturday. The SAT test is one of the standardized tests, ACT is the other, that are used to evaluate college applicants by many colleges. 

Beginning in March of this year the redesigned SAT was offered for the first time. In order to familiarize and adequately prepare for college admission, students should take the SAT general test and the ACT at least two times prior to applying. In addition, students should take at least two different SAT Subject test, especially if they plan to apply to some of the most selective colleges and universities. 

Plan ahead, please look at this list of anticipated SAT 2016-2017 test dates and mark your calendars today. If you are a student that receives Free or Reduced Lunch you are entitled to fee waivers for 2 SAT general tests, 2 SAT Subject tests and 2 ACT tests. That's 6 free oortunities to take these test during high school. You can get the waivers from your school counselor and or from several community based organizations.
